ANIMAL RIGHTS

Animal rights refer to the belief that non-human animals possess inherent rights and should be treated with respect and consideration, similar to the rights of humans. This philosophy advocates for the protection of animals from exploitation, harm, and suffering.

Animals are sentient beings capable of feeling pain, joy, and suffering, deserving of moral consideration. When we eat and consume animal products in any way, we are participating in their abuse, exploitation, torture and murder.

Veganism is a call for the total abolition of animal use because animals are here with us, not for us.

It is the very worst forms of animal curelty that take place in society that are the most legally protected. It is illegal to kick an animal but it’s legal to mutilate, cage and forcibly impregnate them. It’s legal to take their babies, exploit them, deny them any authority and subjugate them. It’s legal to electrecute them, shoot them in the head, drop them in scalding tanks, force them into gas chambers and cut their throats.

Animal rights promotes a shift in how society views animals, moving from a perspective of ownership and use to one of respect, coexistence and compassion. This includes encouraging plant-based diets and cruelty-free products to reduce harm to animals.
